Mission Statement
-
To ensure that modern, technological, and environmentally responsible farming in Britain is commercially viable.
- To persuade the British Government and People that to allow national food production to fall below a strategic level is to take serious risks with national security.
- To present the case that National, and Global, Food Security is of the greatest importance in view of Climate Change, burgeoning world populations, and threats of terrorism.
- To argue that the import of agricultural products produced to unacceptable standards of either animal welfare or environmental care should not be allowed.
- To influence public opinion in relation to the real facts of British Agriculture - in contrast to the unbalanced arguments so often put forward by pressure groups.
- To emphasise the vital importance of Research and Development and to reverse its decline in the UK.
- To work with all political organisations.
